The Hampshire County Selectmen’s Association is a voluntary group open to all elected Selectmen in Hampshire County. Though the organization was relatively inactive for several years, recent efforts to revive the group have been very encouraging and drawn widespread support.

Recent meetings each have drawn over forty participants, representing most of the towns. Legislators and elected members of the Hampshire Council of Governments have attended these meetings.

The Hampshire Council of Governments, consisting of fifteen of the towns, has played a major role in the revival of the Selectmen’s Association. The two groups expect to cooperate on various joint projects, including training and education of selectmen, discussion of important state issues, and encouraging regional solutions to common problems.
