The
Massachusetts State Agency for Federal Surplus Property offers the following
items of personal property to cities, towns, and certain other nonprofit
agencies and small businesses (for guidelines on which organizations
are eligible for property under this program, contact Paul Guerino,

). The Hampshire Council of Governments Regional Services Department
works closely with the State Agency. Details about any of the items

Bulldozer, Running, $500
Yep, you heard it right. It’s a 1964 International TD20, with
cab. This is a cable-operated machine, running condition (needs batteries
but it starts up fine with a jump), cab, heater, undercarriage fair
condition, but it all works, ready to go to work for you and oh, so
cheap at $400
1987 GMC
Flatbed with Fuel Transfer Pump and 400-gal tank
Former USAF refueling truck, runs great, Detroit diesel, Allison automatic,
good condition overall. Very low miles (under 5,000!). $1,500.
Military 6 X6 Trucks:
2-1/2 ton “Deuce and a halfs”
Several of these nice old trucks, some from the late eighties, all low
miles, some with hardtops, one with a winch. Priced from $1,000 to $2,200
5-ton dump truck
Multifuel, 1967, running, rugged, cheap at $1,000
1976 Dodge Ambulance
A former military truck, heavy duty, 4 X 4, not too bad, sitting for
while. Good maintenance truck. $500.
1974 Dodge crew cab 4 X 4 pickup
32K miles, not rusty. $600
1951 M37 Dodge pickup
Everybody should have one of these. There are a dozen in service as
brush trucks in Hampshire County alone. They will go places no other
truck can go. This one is solid but needs batteries, brake work and
a good sprucing up. $1,500.
Water Buffalo
400-gallon fiberglass tank, good condition. For potable water. $500.
Twin 10KW generators on trailer
Not sure if they are gas or diesel. In Savoy. $400 for the whole rig.
Airco Arc Welder. Pretty big, on wheels but not a
tow-behind, with wire feeder and hand-held reel for aluminum wire (?).

Table Saw
Rockwell professional model, like new, $150.
Miller 300 amp Welder
MIG, TIG, frig, whatever. In excellent shape. $200 is very cheap for
this unit.
Chainfall, 1-ton. $35
Jacobsen lawn mower. Engine turns, good compression.

Bolens lawn mower. Very nice shape, $50 (both mowers
are push-type).
Walnut Desk. Nice shape, about 60” X 24”.

Office Chairs. Several types. $25 each. Some have wheels,
others are side chairs.
Television, RCA. Good shape. $25
Machinists Tool Chest. Nice shape. $20. No tools. Other
tool boxes, $5 each.
Hydraulic bottle jacks, 6-10 ton. Some need work. Take
all four for $10!
Belt sander, Porter Cable, like new with case, $40
Window Air Conditioners. Two each, allegedly working
fine. FREE.
Drill Press. Small, bench-mounted Asian machine. FREE
Or a nice, US-made floor model, $100
Grinder, stand-mounted. Good condition, with steel
stand. $25.
Silicone Brake Fluid, 1-gal cans. $10 per can. This
stuff costs a fortune at the parts store.
Engine Hoist. Take-apart type, good shape. Needs hydraulic
ram. $75
Garden Forks and Sling Blades. Good shape or new. $5
each.
Audio Equipment: Peavey mixers, guitar amps, bass amp,
power amps, all priced at $100-150.
Musical Instruments: Trombone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn,
Euphonium. $50 each. Microphones, $25 Conga drums, $25.
Boots! We have extreme cold weather boots, sizes 6,8,9
and 10, $10 per pair.
Tires, tires, tires! We have lots of good used and
new rubber. Truck and trailer tires in 9.00R 20 or big 15-inch lowbed
trailer sizes. 2 new 9R- 22.5, 2 good used in the same size. Passenger
car sizes 195-14, 185/70-14, 215/75-15, 205/60-15. Call or email for

Since SASP operates without
a permanent warehouse, some items may be located at the Federal facility.
Participants who are equipped to retrieve equipment themselves from
the Federal site may be charged a reduced administration fee. For further
