March:
Patricia L. Jenks, 15 Keefe Ave, Holyoke, MA 01040. 413-532-8513. p-jenks (at) hotmail.com.

April:
Greg Smith, 143 Crescent Street, Northampton MA, 01060. 413-584-1302.
info (at) gregsmithartist.com.

Greg Smith’s paintings are oil on canvas. Many are also available as limited edition giclee prints. For several years, he concentrated on a series of flower paintings inspired by a love of gardening, particularly a rose collection of over 200 antique and modern varieties. The paintings, often a hundred times life size, give a butterfly’s view of flower, bud and leaf structure. Recently Greg has embarked on a series of Italian scene paintings with three dimensional window frames, arches and columns built onto the canvas.

May:
Chuck Braun, 132 Brickyard Road, Southampton, MA 01075. 413-529-9412. ChuckBraun (at) charter.net

“The theme of this exhibit is based on preservation and conservation; savoring the past and appreciating nature and wildlife. It will include paintings representing historic architecture, antique artifacts and vehicles, and some of my wildlife observations and encounters.

June:
Gayle A. Higgins, 68 Fairview St, South Hadley, MA 01075. 413-532-6131. watercolor1 (at) comcast.net.

“My watercolor and pastel paintings are of peaceful places, taking you on a
mini vacation without leaving your home. My latest adventure into stained
paper collage is slightly abstract allowing the viewer more of a
participatory role in viewing the work. Since the subject may not be
obvious at first look, the viewer can decide what it is.”

July:
Kathleen Hasbrouck, 33 Laurel Park, Northampton MA 01060. 413-586-3789.
katierney (at) comcast.net.

Black and white block prints-animals, trees, etc. Acrylic landscape paintings.

Jennifer Burdick-Poitras and Gregory Poitras.
26 B. Elm Circle, South Deerfield, MA 01373. 413-320-7718. photojennics (at) yahoo.com.

“This exhibition of photographs is a comparative look at how a photographer and her five year old son both view their world and people around them. Jenn’s work has been described as unique in her point of view of the everyday and familiar. Gregory’s vision is just as engaging.”

September:
Melissa Incompo, 60 Russellville Road, Southampton MA 01073. 413-527-7691. snissyb (at) yahoo.com.

“This exhibit presents documentary photography including portraits and scenes throughout New Mexico, New York and New England. Color and black and white prints.”

Students of all ages are encouraged to visit; classes are invited to arrange a visit with the artist. http://www.andrewdevries.com

Two Person Show:
Alma LaFrance, 11 Birchwood Drive, Huntington MA 01050. 413 667 3372. aml64 (at) quixnet.net.
Plein air oil paintings. Going out of doors in all seasons with the intent of capturing on canvas, in oils, something that has sparked my interest, is a very large part of who I am as a painter. The qualities of plein air painting…especially the immediacy required by the short period of time an artist has before everything changes, make themselves evident in the work. .

Karin Cook, Bashan Hill Road, Worthington MA. Watercolors. Karin Cook is also a plein air artist who works in Watercolors. http://www.neartexpress.com/q/karin+cook

December:
